William Baczek Fine Arts

My work is about all the meaningful human experiences that I experience myself, in my own skin, and know on an intimate level — love, womanhood, sisterhood, motherhood, coming to terms with pain and hurt and mortality, and certain spiritual understandings. The process itself to me is strangely metaphysical and goes both ways: deeper grounding of my heart and soul into the physicality of this life, and transcending these dense physical aspects and suffering to something much lighter through an understanding and acceptance of my experiences.

A disclaimer: Words are not enough for me to express what’s important, words come out too logical and straightforward. Art, on the other hand, invokes instead of “tells,” it’s a heart-to-heart language. Therefore, I like to listen to what people find in the artworks instead of telling them what to find. Sometimes your findings are truer than what I intended to weave into them.
