 Yin Yong Chun was born in the Liaoning Province in Northern China, in 1958. He became a member of the China Artists Association in 1979. Undergratuate and post-graduate work was done in China as well and Yin first exhibited his paintings in the United States in 1999. Yin Yong Chun's paintings are a perfect pairing of Western painting technique with Asian composition. Most frequently, his subjects are still lifes. Chinese screens are pictured in many of the backgrounds and the scenes depicted on the screens interact with the objects in the still lifes, creating a visual conversation between what is painted, repainted, real and illusion. |
